Chloe Compton is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. She earned her MFA in Studio Art with a Graduate Certificate in Arts Education from Winthrop University and a BFA in 2D Studio Art from Lander University. She also studied ceramics at the Cleveland Institute of Art and trained at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.
Working across ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and photography, Compton explores the structural and fleeting qualities of nature as metaphors for memory and belonging. Her work examines how material and form can mirror the instability and endurance of recollection.
Compton has exhibited nationally at ArtFields, the Arts Council of York County, and ArtPop Times Square, and her work has been published internationally in Yolk Literary Magazine (Montreal). She currently teaches foundation courses at USC Upstate and ceramics at Wofford College.
